How It All Started

 

The journey began in 2017 after an inspirational trip to Cambodia where I was amazed at the rich cultural heritage the Cambodians have. I then realised one common denominator with the 16+ countries that I visited; they are hot tourist spots and coincidentally, they have rich culture. Due to the lack of a National Zimbabwean Attire, I took it to myself to design a fabric comprising of our country’s national symbols such as the Flame Lily, Balancing Rocks, Baobab Tree, Zimbabwe Bird, Great Zimbabwe Stones and of course, our Zimbabwean flag colors. This fabric can be used to make multiple themed national outfits. The reception of the ZimCollar Brand was overwhelmingly positive. More
